Well the following screenshots were taken in FSX. No special add ons (i'm above the Isle of White, FTX England) but you won't see much of that. The sequence of 4 shots were taken with different angles with just one press of the pause button (in other words its the plane in one position 4x shots taken from different camera positions). I take all my screen captures using fraps (I think it's better cos you can choose the format) One of the other things i do in FSX is, i use mouse look view (Shift + o) This way you can smoothly pan around your plane or cockpit using the mouse instead of the jerky movements you get with a hat switch or arrow keys. When you have the sim paused and if you have zoomed in or out on the aircraft wait a few seconds for the zoom info to disappear from the top right hand corner of the screen and take your shot between the (simulation paused) flashing at the bottom left, we don't want these spoiling our picture. When i want different lighting effects and i choose time of day dusk, i also take the FSX clock time back 10 minutes or so and if i choose dawn i change the time forward ten minutes.
More to follow but all questions and comments are welcome
Yeah me and by old mate Dave go there often, its just about two hours drive from here. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based there and we are members so we can tour the hanger with all the Spitfires, Hurricanes and the Lancaster are kept. So whenever we get a day off work together we go fill our boots with all things aeroplane
Just spent the afternoon at RAF Conningsby today, watching the Typhoons go about their daily sorties and seeing no fewer than 4 performance take offs ! For those not in the know, they take off on full afterburner, lifting off in just a few hundred meters of runway and pointing the nose up almost vertically and power straight up in to the sky, its an awesome spectacle
Pretty much yeah, i wouldn't say the chopper handling is spot on but very acceptable and as for being a war simulation (not really a game) its hardcore. Try playing rambo in this and your life won't last seconds, its very very realistic 'n' i'm addicted lol !
Looks the dogs doo daa's don't it but like you say Dorel has it got a real feel ? And did you check out the recommended system spec : Microsoft FSX ( SP2 or acceleration) or Lockheed Martin Prepar3D V2 Intel core i5 4 GB RAM ( more recommended ) Graphic card 2 GB recommended. I know that kind of spec is the norm these days but i bet a lot of folk out there ain't got it !
I kinda like anything to do with guitars, everything from slow blues, rock, country. My guitar player of the moment is Joe Bonamassa specially when he gigs with Beth Hart
You may remember this one, i'm not usually a fan of remakes but when there done like this, wow factor. Done the old fashioned way, all in the studio, no overdubbing, hear it as it comes
