Winter is closing in on the Great Lakes. The Soo Locks which are located between, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, USA will be closing down for the shipping season on 1-15-15. Canadian Coast Guard and US Coast Guard ships coordinate efforts to keep channels open throughout the winter.
