A'right, I can't hold it anymore so I'll let you all know, there's a tiny little (gratifying, I hope) surprise awaiting the FSK members next month, aka September 2014, that's all I can say for now, so stay tuned, I'd say it really does worth!
As a matter of fact I'm curious to see how these (FS9) Virtualcol Saabs compare in terms of system depth to Aerosim's Saab 340...which I own. They're both light simulations but still...interesting to see which one of these lighties is the heaviest
Being a die-hard FS9er and one that struggles to stay realistic in his simming experience, I believe I know almost all the attention-worthy FS9 aircraft that are available out there, and their developers (talking about the categories that interest me, such as airliners), I pretty much know what each developer is capable of doing and what's their "signature" if you will, so I (obviously, I'm not the only one) can usually predict the overall quality of a to-be-launched simulation by one of these developers. However, being an FS9 only pilot, I tend to grow increasingly unfamiliar with the newest players on the field, or with those that only develop for other sims than FS9 and, of course, with their simulations/products...such as Flight Sim Labs and their upcoming A320. I sure am deadly curious to know how accurate this thing is going to be: LINK
I cant seem to be able to find out if it's gonna be a simulation of the entire A320 family or just one or more (but not all) members.
Everybody's super delighted when a new, high end simulation becomes available, [no wonder] but TBH, I'm just as happy to see new simulations of aircraft that have been left out by the major developers, being released, even though these are far from being as detailed as the ones coming from the behemoths. The new Saab propliners (340 and 2000) from Virtualcol are just that - a very welcome package simulating 2 beautiful birds that have so far been ignored, at least by the payware developers. They nicely join the other propliners in Virtualcol's catalogue, AAAND...they're available for FS2004 too!!! I don't know about you, but I might make my wallet loose some weight soon!
Happy morning and welcome to the August 2014 competition! For August, get any aircraft you want and simply...fly! But before you get up there, make sure you "activate" pilot antifreeze, after all, you don't wanna get up there and shiver, now duya... Show us what a properly "warmed-up" pilot is capable of doing! Here's to luck!
Please upload your entries inside THIS ALBUM! GENERAL RULES apply with one exception, you're allowed to add a small caption to the screenshots if you want, it's not mandatory though.
New French airline operating 757 - you don't see such elegant liveries coming out everyday, now duya?! Gotta get to fly those sometime, no matter whad!!! LINK
G'day all, Since the agen.in service appears to be dead, i've just changed the easy-to-remember link that redirects to Flight Sim Kloud, from the former agen.in/flightsimkloud to the new one --> is.gd/flightsimkloud. It is shorter than the previous one, "flightsimkloud" comprises most of the new url which is good. A'right, get back to simming, heaven nice day!
New old lady available for FSX and P3D simmers from Flight Replicas, LINK. Looking so darn tempting, if I used FSX or P3D I wouldn't waste a 2nd before hitting "BUY", not using either of the sims, and that's bad news for my oldies-loving arse, good news for my wallet
So I just tested the scenery. Apparently you need to create a free account to be able to download from their site, no prob with that.
The scenery comes with a short PDF manual written in Indonesian, as soon as I saw it was in Indonesian, I didn't bother with it anymore, but I was soon to find out that was a mistake on my side. The installation went smoothly but the scenery just didn't...show up correctly, my plane appeared to hover in the air and be on the ground at the same time/multiple sceneries had been overlapped. The solution was in that PDF manual, so I teamed up with Google translate and got the scenery working, I just had to edit a default BGL file with AFCAD (and back it up just in case), from then on, it worked flawlessly.
Now on to the scenery itself - well, nothing out of the ordinary, I must admit I expected a bit more (I ain't criticizing though), it has many low-res textures and objects (eg trees) but also a bunch of eye-candies, like the animated train and buses, the gorgeous terminal building etc. Overall, it's a very welcomed scenery, more so for the ones familiar with the airport, and it's free, and it's available for FS2004 too! Well worth a nice IFR visit!
Very very bad news, and to make it worse, it went down in a lit up region, infested by neo-soviets. I remember thinking before the Asiana 777 crashed at SFO "Only one 777 crash so far, with no victims, God keep it that way", and then, about 2 days ago I was thinking "3 so far, too damn quickly"..................Oh God have mercy! LINK
Maybe too damn realistic for a fighter, even for a good ol' Mirage. Whoops, we got leaked information, will the casual simmer be able to experience some...characteristix he/she should really not experience They seem to be deadly serious. LINK
BDO Aviation, an Indonesian flightsim scenery development group have just released their newest creation, Kualanamu International Airport, in Indonesia. It's free, it's available for both FSX and FS2004 and from what I can see, it's not top notch, it's just pretty darn beautiful. Gonna try it ASAP and report back, but you can do it too if you want, ain't gonna cost ya nuttin! Download the FSX version here. Download the FS2004 version here.
I've finished my review on one of my favorite airports for FS2004, Phuket, by Thaiflight. Hope you like, and I suggest you try that wonderful airport (download link), note that it's for FS2004 only. Heaven Ice Day!
QualityWings have just lowered the price for their outstanding BAe 146 and Avro RJ collection by 25%, permanently! Now you can get 'em for $35.99. LINK
As in the case of TDS 737NG with scimitar winglets, the upcoming A320 family (the whole family, from the A318 to the A321) featuring sharklets from Project Airbus, are gonna be a bunch of terrific models! Too bad that's all they've got LINK
Aloha and welcome to the July edition of our screenshot competition! This time, Simon says...maintenance shots! Any type of aircraft goes as long as it tells me the machine is under maintenance. Good lucky to ya'll!
